How Hormone Replacement Therapy Changed My Life—and Helped Me Become a Better Mom, Wife, and Nurse Practitioner
Before hormone replacement therapy, I had all these negative thoughts.
That I’m not capable of taking care of my child.
That managing a household is just too much, and I’m not good at it.
And then on top of that—being a working provider and seeing all these patients? I was overwhelmed. I thought I was drowning.
I had no discipline. No motivation. I was so anxious and honestly depressed, but I didn’t even realize I was depressed at the time. I just thought this was my life now.
I had stubborn belly fat from high cortisol levels. I was so tired. My fatigue was really bad—but again, I mistook it for laziness. I used to beat myself up, thinking, “Why can’t I just get it together?”
Then I finally got on hormone replacement therapy.
And my life changed.
Within 2–3 days, I started sleeping better. My energy went up. (Most people start noticing changes around 3 weeks, but I felt it sooner.) Slowly, my depression started to go away. My thoughts were less negative. I felt more motivated. I had more discipline. I started taking more inspired action to show up as the best mom, wife, daughter, and nurse practitioner I could be.
I finally had the energy to care for others and myself. That’s when I knew I needed to start treating patients with hormones too.
I truly believe every woman should be on HRT. I can’t imagine how many women out there feel the way I used to—thinking they’re just failing or falling apart, when really…
It’s their hormones.
There are so many endocrine disruptors in our world today. Most people are deficient—but no one is treating it. Instead, we throw antidepressants at it, prescribe weight loss meds, or cover it up with medications for diabetes and blood pressure. But that’s not healing—that’s just a Band-Aid.
This is why I opened this clinic. Because I want you to feel the way I do now.
I truly believe that moms who are trying their best—are GOOD moms.
It’s not that you’re not enough. It’s your hormones putting those thoughts in your head.
And it’s not just women.
Men with low testosterone are going through the same thing.
They feel tired, unmotivated, emotionally flat. They lose strength, gain belly fat, lose their drive. And most of the time they don’t even realize it’s hormonal—they just think they’re getting older or losing their spark.
But it’s treatable. You can feel like you again.
