Sauna Benefits
Hi, I’m Kam, ARNP, founder of Aberdeen Peak Hormonal Health PLLC. I believe simple habits can make a big difference in hormone health, and one of my favorites is sauna use.
Saunas may help support healthy testosterone, lower stress, improve sleep, and boost recovery after workouts. They may also improve circulation, which can support energy, metabolism, and overall wellness.
For women, better sleep and lower stress may help during perimenopause and menopause. For men, reducing stress and improving recovery may support healthy testosterone and performance.
Many of my patients also want to feel calmer, lighter, and more refreshed. Regular sauna sessions can be a simple tool to support that goal.
I recommend sauna use for at least 15-20 minutes 3-5 times a week. Make sure you hydrate yourself well before and after your session and add electrolytes to your water. Start slow with sauna use. Leave the sauna if you are feeling dizzy or lightheaded.
